Message from the Principal
Dear Parents & Families, June 15, 2021
With the 2020 - 2021 school year behind us, it is with great anticipation that I look forward to the upcoming school year. The reality of the pandemic has taught all of us to do everything in our power to keep each other safe. Whether we are able to convene fully with students on campus, or in some variation of a Hybrid Model, which we implemented so successfully, we will continue to keep student and staff safety a priority.
No matter how we convene we will have Cafecitos, School Site Council and English Advisory Committee meetings. Furthermore, if possible, I hope to again have wonderful family events such as Flauta, Movie and Dance with Someone Special nights. Everyone is welcome!
Three of our amazing educators left Santa Rita School this past May. Mrs. Janie Alvarado Sandoval and Ms. Susan Enelow retired after a combined 51 years of service to students and their families. Additionally, Ms. Michelle Callaway has accepted a position at McKinnon School. We will miss them dearly, but wish them the best in their new endeavors!
Please join me in welcoming into the Santa Rita Family, Ms. Jessica Alisea, third grade teacher, Ms.Johanna Uribe, second grade teacher and Mr. Federico Garcia in the role of resource teacher. We are so happy to have them become a part of the team!
Registration packets for Kindergarten are available at the school office and can be returned beginning July 26th. If you have not done so, please return your Chromebook to the library, anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Have fun with your families this summer and please read to, or have your children read to you every night. School begins August 4th, 2021, see you then!
