Good Afternoon Santa Rita Family,
We hope you had a wonderful weekend! It is hard to believe we are already moving through February. There is a lot of exciting energy in the building right now as we celebrate growth and prepare for new milestones.
Spirt Week
In honor of Valentines Day and in preparation for kindness week, we are having a spirt dress up week. Our leadership students collaborated in selecting the theme for each day. See our flyer for the day to day details.
ELPAC Assessments: "Show What You Know!"
This week, our upper-grade English Language Learners will begin the ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessments for California). These assessments are a special opportunity for our students to show how much they have grown in their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Parents, please encourage your children to do their very best and take their time. We are so proud of the hard work they put into mastering the English language, and we can't wait to see them "show what they know!" We will work our way down to our lower grade students as our upper grade students complete their assessments. This is a K-5 assessment for English Learners.
Celebrating Black History Month
As we move through February, our district is proud to recognize Black History Month. This is a dedicated time to honor the incredible contributions, achievements, and legacies of Black Americans throughout history. We value the diverse voices that enrich our school community and are proud to celebrate the spirit of leadership and excellence this month represents.
