Spring into Success

As we welcome April, I hope this message finds you and your families well and refreshed after our recent spring break. We know that time to rest and recharge is important, and we are excited to see our students return ready to learn and grow.

April is an important month in our schools, as students in grades 3 through 8 will begin state testing on April 13th. These assessments are an opportunity for students to demonstrate the progress they have made throughout the year. We encourage families to support their children by ensuring they get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day.

Our teachers and staff have been working diligently to prepare students, and we are confident that they will do their very best. We are proud of the hard work happening in our classrooms every day and appreciate the continued partnership of our families in supporting student success.

As always, thank you for being an important part of our school community. Together, we will continue to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Set for Success

With state testing beginning this month, we want to share a few simple “how-to” tips to help your child feel confident, prepared, and ready to do their best:

How to Help Your Child Get Enough Rest:
  • Set a consistent bedtime and wake-up time, even on weekends
  • Create a calming bedtime routine (reading, quiet time, no screens 30 minutes before bed)
  • Make sure your child’s sleep environment is comfortable, quiet, and dark

How to Build a Healthy Morning with Breakfast:
  • Plan quick, nutritious options like fruit, yogurt, eggs, or whole-grain toast
  • Prepare what you can the night before to save time in the morning
  • Encourage your child to eat something, even if it’s small, to fuel their brain

How to Ensure Your Child Arrives at School On Time:
  • Set out clothes, backpacks, and materials the night before
  • Establish a consistent morning routine with enough time to get ready without rushing
  • Aim to arrive a few minutes early, so your child can start the day calmly and confidently

These simple steps can help your child feel calm, focused, and ready to succeed during testing. Thank you for your support in helping make this a positive experience for all students!

We are excited to offer our Summer Academy program from June 2nd through June 26th! This is a great opportunity for students to continue learning, build skills, and stay engaged over the summer.

Parents can sign up their student through the Aeries Parent or Student Portal by following these steps:
  1. Log in to your Aeries Parent or Student Portal
  2. Click on Classes
  3. Select Summer Course Request Entry

  5. Choose the course that matches the grade your student will be entering next school year
Important:
When selecting a course, be sure to choose the grade level your student will be going into.
