Good Afternoon Santa Rita Families,
Welcome to a very busy and exciting week at Santa Rita! First, we want to extend a huge thank you to all our families for your incredible patience and cooperation in the parking lot during last week’s rain and storms. We know the weather makes drop-off and pick-up more challenging, and we truly appreciate you keeping our students' safety your top priority.
District Town Hall Monday night
We are honored to host the SRUSD Town Hall Meeting #3 right here at Santa Rita on Monday, February 23. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with district leadership and stay informed about the future of our schools. We hope to see many of our families there!
The Scholastic Book Fair is Here!
Our school library has been transformed into a book lover's paradise! Students will have opportunities to shop during the school day, but we also invite parents to shop with their children during the following times:
Tuesday & Wednesday: After school from 2:10 PM – 3:00 PM.
Thursday (Literacy Night): Open 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Kindness & Literacy
This week we continue to focus on character and community. On Wednesday, we invite everyone to wear pink for Pink Shirt Day to stand against bullying and promote kindness. We will also cap off the week with our Family Literacy Night on Thursday—a night dedicated to the joy of reading!
Finally, we invite our families to attend a special Pink Shirt Day event hosted for the Salinas community at the Northridge Mall this Friday. It is a great opportunity to join our community in spreading a message of inclusion and support.
Please scroll down to see the flyers for more details on this week's and upcoming events.
Warmly,
Ms. K and Mrs. Zavala
