First, a big congratulations to Mr. Lopez’s 5th-grade class for winning our September Attendance Challenge! They had the highest percentage of students present all month and celebrated with a fun Popsicle Party with Ms. K!
We are excited to announce that our Perfect Attendance Challenge will continue through the month of October. Arriving on time every single day is so important because it ensures our scholars have full access to learning, daily socialization, and a strong sense of belonging in our school community.
We also want to thank everyone who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences last week! It was a tremendous success, and we loved connecting with so many of our families. If you were unable to make your scheduled meeting, please reach out directly to your child's teacher to schedule a time after school so you can discuss your scholar's progress, strengths, and goals.

🌯 Chipotle Fundraiser (Tuesday, October 6): Take a break from cooking and join us for dinner at the Chipotle on Salinas Main St. from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM! Please share the flyer with friends, family, and neighbors—just be sure to mention Santa Rita Elementary at checkout so a portion of the proceeds supports our school. ☀️ Heat Warning & Sun Safety: It is going to be a hot week ahead! Please make sure your child brings a labeled water bottle, wears sunscreen, and brings a hat to stay cool and protected during outdoor recess.
